About

My name is Wes Hamrick.  I’m currently a postdoc in Irish Studies at the Keough-Naughton Institute at Notre Dame.  I work primarily on eighteenth-century British and Irish literature, including Augustan poetry, Jacobitism and the often surprising places where print and manuscript intersect. In recent months I’ve been exploring the exciting and rapidly changing field of Digital Humanities.

EXPLORATIONS is where I will post about various projects I’m working on, especially as they relate to 18th-century print and manuscript cultures.  This is also the place where I write about where DH tools and techniques fit into my work on 18th-century literature and Irish Studies.
